   Rodney Donald Jackson, age 82 of Core Rd., Dunn of the Plainview Community died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.
    Mr. Jackson was born on August 26, 1929 in Sampson County to the late Raiford Junior & Claudia Core Jackson. Rodney was a U.S. Army Veteran and was retired from Civil Service from Pope Air Force Base with around 20 Years of Service, He then went to work at Campbell University in the carpentry department. He was retired from the Plainview Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Lee's Chapel Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, neighbor & friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

   Steve W. “Tex” Harden of Red Oak passed away Jan. 28, 2012. He was born in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Samuel & Lucinda (Robertson) Harden. He proudly served his country with the US Army, serving in Special Forces and turning in three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was awarded three purple hearts and two bronze stars.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Joan, went to be with our Lord on January 29, 2012. Father to Joe Fallico, Jr., of Duncanville; Marilyn Smith of Mansfield; and Carolyn Hurley, married to Alan Hurley of Midlothian. Proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Paul Fallico. He retired from Sears after driving long distance for 25 years. Joseph was also a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church of Duncanville. Funeral services were 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family was from 6-8 PM, ( 7 PM, Rosary), Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel.

   Barbara Ann Rogers Wilkerson Bell, of Duncanville, passed away peacefully at 8:10 in the morning on Feb. 5, 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was born on Nov 27, 1937, in Burkburnett, Texas to Charles Luther and Ethel Bell Green Rogers. Barbara attended school in Wichita Falls, TX, and graduated in 1956. In 1958, she earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Midwestern University. She was raised in various Assemblies of God churches near her family homes in North Texas.

  Patsy Ann Redd, a native Texan, was born on May 27th, 1941 in Denver City, Texas. She grew up in Andrews Texas. Patsy loved to fish and really enjoyed driving their boat as their kids and grandkids learned to ski. She enjoyed playing games and her favorites were spades and spoons. Her grandkids knew to be very careful during that particular game because literally the spoons could fly! She loved to cook and bake which led Wesley to brag that she made the best coconut cream pie ever! She loved flowers and gardening, she loved to read as was so obvious when you could see books piled throughout her house in every room and every nook and cranny!

Cunningham, Major 96, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on February 1, 2012 with his beloved wife of 72 years, Ozell Cunningham by his side. Major was 100% Texan, born January 26, 1916 in Denton County. Major worked at Mosher Steel Co. for 40 years, and is a 32nd degree Mason.
Alvin is survived by his wife Frankie Ozell Cunningham; son James W. Cunningham; 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and numerous step great grand children. We love you Grandad.

Frances Louise Owens, 82, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at a Burleson hospice. Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM, Saturday at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, the Reverend Emil Balliet officiating. Internment will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, and one grandson. Survivors include two sons, Tom Owens (June) and Ronald Owens (Patricia); six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Mary C. Hitt 68, of Waxahachie, TX passed away on January 19, 2012. She was born at Baylor in Dallas, worked with the County Extension Office in Dallas and was a Nurse for over 40 years and the last several years at Park Manor Nursing & Rehab Center in DeSoto, TX. Mary was preceded in death by her brother Eddie Nelson and her husband Roger Dale Hitt.

Ryan Lee Hundley, age 27, passed away after a long battle from complications of Cystic Fibrosis on Saturday, January 21st. Ryan was a true friend, brother, nephew and son to all who loved and adored him. He is survived locally by his parents, Ron and Cheryl Hundley, his sister Rebecca Elliott, as well as his aunt and uncle Kay Hundley and Jim Adams. He is survived by many extended family members, from Missouri to Kansas to Illinois to Florida; including his aunt and uncle Cathy and Brent Boyd; his aunt, Jane Dougherty; and his uncle, Buddy Dougherty. Ryan was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Ben and Helen Hundley, and Raymond and Virginia Boyd. Ryan was completing his education at Navarro College prior to falling ill, with dreams of a career in the field of nursing.
