NU Updates Student Activity Center
On Thursday, January 26th, Northwood University TX campus, held a grand re-opening ceremony for the newly refurbished and updated Gaubert Student Activity Center (GSAC). The celebration was attended by students, faculty and staff. Attendees were treated to lunch while they perused the updated GSAC.
Ryan Taylor, a freshman, stated, “The anticipation was killing me. Without the GSAC I was lost. I like all of the space we have. It’s definitely a better GSAC.”
The center had been closed since the beginning of winter break. During the past month many changes have been made to make the space more inviting and comfortable without being geared towards any specific group or gender. The updates include a new coat of paint, more space to relax and meet with friends, public access to an Xbox Kinect and a decorative suit of armor to show Northwood Knight pride.
The students were very excited to see the remodels:
“I think it’s a nice change, it looks more up to date,” commented freshman Tiffany Brewer. “It’s more modern, I love the color scheme,” remarked senior Zach Sevar.
